Make sure The Isle is set to Evrima, not Legacy.
Search The Bone Empire in the Evrima server browser.

New Player Basics
The first things new players usually ask.
How do I join The Bone Empire?↓
Open The Isle Evrima, go to the server browser, search for The Bone Empire, and join from there. If the server does not show right away, refresh the list and make sure you are on the Evrima branch, not Legacy.
Why can’t I find the server?↓
The most common reason is being on the wrong version of The Isle. The Bone Empire runs on Evrima, so Legacy players will not see the server. Also check your spelling, filters, and server browser refresh.
What map are we on?↓
The Bone Empire uses Gateway. You can use the website map page for navigation help.

Use this if your game looks wrong or the server will not show.
How do I switch from Legacy to Evrima on Steam?↓
Open Steam, go to your Library, right-click The Isle, click Properties, then open Betas or Game Versions & Betas. In the dropdown, choose the Evrima public branch. Steam will download the Evrima version after that.
Do I need to buy The Isle again?↓
No. Evrima is a branch of The Isle on Steam. You switch versions through Steam properties.
Why does my game look different from videos or screenshots?↓
The Isle has different branches. Legacy and Evrima are not the same version. The Bone Empire is for Evrima.
Voice / VOIP
Voice chat and microphone help.
What is VOIP?↓
VOIP means voice chat through the internet. It lets players talk instead of typing everything in chat. It is useful for grouping, nesting, warning others, and roleplay.
Do I have to use voice?↓
No. Voice is helpful, but players can still use text chat. Always follow server rules whether you use voice or text.
Why can’t people hear me?↓
Check that your microphone is selected in your game and Windows settings. Also make sure your push-to-talk key is set correctly and that your mic is not muted.

How do I link my Steam?↓
Use the Account page on the website. Linking helps the website connect your Steam account to server features.

Some dinos and patterns can display differently in the game than they do in the website preview. If something looks broken, report it with a screenshot so staff can check it.

How do I report a player?↓
Report players through the Discord ticket or report system. Include the player name, what happened, the time, and screenshots or video if you have them.
What should I do if I crash or lose a dino?↓
Contact staff through the proper Discord channel or ticket system. Give as much detail as possible, including your Steam name, dino, approximate time, and what happened.
Can admins heal or use commands while playing?↓
Admins are expected to play normally unless they are actively handling server issues, helping during busy times, or doing staff duties. Abuse should be reported to the server owner.
